Post by: mictator on November 15, 2019, 08:18:25 PM
Hello,

Want to Buy a Persian Fantasy Army in 15mm. Immortals,  Cataphracts. Need it from Archameads, Parthian and Sassanids.

Which Manufacturers?

Quality is my demand, not price.

I second both of those recommendations and Eureka/AB Miniatures for the Sassanids (will match the Xyston):

lurkio, xyston, khurasan, forged in battle, essex, eureka/AB figurines, gladiator (fighting15), old glory

if using forged in battle see also transfers from little big men studio

myself i did mix forged in battle, essex, khurasan with some left overs from old glory

xyston are the best, but very difficult to mix with other on the same base or command except for AB sassanids ( very nice war elephant)

Do have a look at Donnington and QRF for Parthians and Sassanids.

100% agree, With the caveat that they're a little taller then most.

The sculpts is top notch and they look beautiful when painted up :)

I picked up some extra skirmishes, the AB Figures Cretan archers are a perfect match for Xyston - the Thracian/Greek peltasts are huge! (20mm?). So there seems to be some variation in the ranges.
