Title: Can you identify these buildings please?
Post by: Digits on December 09, 2019, 04:49:27 PM
Bought years ago for some small (10mm/15mm) Napoleonic gaming that never happened!

Can anyone please identify the manufacturer before I put them up on e-bay?

Thanks

I’ve got those - but I’m struggling to remember from where.

I think it was from Magister Militum, perhaps the JR Miniatures range?

Sadly, I think you're right - JR Miniatures, available in the UK via MM as you say.

(I say sadly, because I think they are no longer available, following a change of ownership at JR Miniatures.  I'd like to be wrong, but I suspect not.....)

Two other options - Hovels (don't think so) but maybe Village Green.  Remind me more of Village Green than JR Miniatures.  Still OOP, however if VG.  A distant third option might be Scenic Effects, also OOP.  However, since you are in UK and picked them up there (presumably), I'm going to lean toward Village Green.  The back, grayish buildings do seem like perhaps JR (or Hovels) and perhaps the bridge.  The two more tan buildings don't say JR Miniature to my eye.  Don't really know, though.  I don't think it matters much.  Just sell them and let someone put them to good use.

After some checking, VG became Stronghold Miniatures.  Some cool stuff but hard to get hold of here in California, waited one full year for FLGS to get the 15 mm Mosque in - that was a lot of years ago.

Any chance of a link for those of us who might like to bid?

(Ah, sorry - just seen they are in the Bazaar or Obscurities under eBay sales!)
