Thinking about what terrain would be suitable for my Mycenaean Greeks/Trojans (Dr. Zombie's thread is an inspiration), I originally thought of a temple (undamaged), and then damaged for the BSC. But then Dr. Zombie churned one out in the last week lol. So back to the drawing board.
While painting, I am also watching 'Troy: Fall of a City' on Netflix, and there's plenty of inspiration (probably historically accurate as the 2004 film and Xena). Burned out buildings feature in it, and that's a terrain piece I could use from early Bronze Age to the 20th century if I don't make it too specific.
A still from the series:

Won't be anything amazing, but I want to finish a terrain piece in the allocated time. And I want it to be reusable - I wargame pretty much any period.

Well...from that “archive” photo it looks like it would be useable for a whole bunch of different settings
;) :D

Dumping my initial historical inspiration here:

And some of the Baueda buildings for colour:

Though I definitely want something less rectangular and more organic. And burnt lol

I am looking forward to see what you come up with. And then steal all your ideas. :D
I am sure you could build a much cooler temple than the one I threw together.

Ah, thanks mate - but what you did was efficient (quick and looks very good). I like efficient ;)
My dream temple would be a more historical one (architecturally) as the one in the 2004 Troy film.

Very cool!
