Nice sculpts, well painted!
I mostly like the Galloping Major ones!
Cheers!

Nice job on those :)

Cheers guys, the Galloping Major figures are lovely and characterful but abit large compared to other figures I ahve, hopefully using them as command figures on seperate bases will allow me to use them without them lookign too odd.

Very nice

The greys you have used on the tricornes are particularly effective, makes me rethink my usual blocking them in with black . The elephant towing the limbered gun has turned out superbly, I was struck by the washes on the Natives skin tones . These old Foundry figures certainly stand comparison with any modern figures. Always a pleasure to view your blog , btw .

Thanks very much guys.
The skin tones are a base paint and a highlight rather than a wash. I use leather brown as a base and ECW buff as a highlight. I have used it for some years as it gives the ffect I am looking for. Glad you like them. Your right the old Foundry stuff is still really nice.
I prime in black so black hats are great, its literally just a grey dry brush to catch all the edges.
