Front Rank Figures, from the Monmouth Rebels packs along with some from others to add variety. Will be multi-based all at the end.
I’ve finished 14, just started painting the next 16, so it will be a while before any more show up here.
-
Scyths, pitchforks and other pointy stick weapons.
-
Some more Scyths, pitchforks, etc.
-
All the first batch of "pike" together.
-
First musketeers. (Of course, there won't be many of these.)
-
Very well painted Malcolm. I’ve done a few of these myself, a couple of LPLs back... Very nice big chunky figures to paint :)
-
Stunning figures and paint.
-
Lovely work, really great job on those lovely FR figures. :)

Some really nice painting on these!! :-* :-*

Lovely paintwork, that green ‘bobble’ hat looks so real I want to stroke it!
And Monmouth’s force was well equipped with muskets so fortunately you will need to paint more :)
-
As a veteran of the 300 year anniversary Battle of Sedgemoor I think these mini look splendid.
-
Thanks to everyone for commenting. (I thought they might go down well here, ;))
Already started the next batch but as a weekend-only painter, will be a while before they show up in the thread. ::)
-
Next batch...
8 Pike and Scythe men
-
2 more scythe men and a sergeant
-
4 more shot.
-
And to complete the second wave, some command.
-
Lovely lovely work 8)

They look well executed paint jobs till you zoom in and then they become a delight to behold...wow
-
Top notch Malcolm :-*
-
Fantastic painting. Looking forward to seeing this come together. Are you planning to paint the Royalist side too?
-
Thanks chaps. :)
...Are you planning to paint the Royalist side too?
No. Just a few more rebels left than I'm moving onto something else. Some figures with a lot fewer buttons. ::)
-
Fantastic paint jobs
-
Your eyes are amazing. The [ainted eyes on your figures are great too ! :D Have you any tips?
-
Fabulous work :-* :-* :-*
I love painting up Front Rank mini's 8)

Painted eyes on your figures...Have you any tips?
Must be "flat". Front Rank are fine, Copplestone and some others, little protruding ball, I scrape out with a very sharp knife as part of the prep work.
I paint the base flesh first, then the eyes.
Black - the whole socket.
White or off-white horizontal line - leaving black"outer"
Black dot or vertical line middle of the white.
Tidy up as required.
Paint the rest of the flesh on the face.
-
Malcolm, those look amazing! How big will the force be with the rules you're planning on using?

Thanks Mike.

Not many more to do. No rules in mind as I only paint. These will be gamed with, I'm very happy to say, but by someone else. ::)
-
Not a period that get's me going but great paintwork Malcolm 8)

Final few...
5 Musketeers, a drummer and the Duke himself.
(Photos best I can manage with a single lamp. ::) )
