Decided to start the New Year by painting up some miniatures I’ve had waiting for a while.
Started it off with these Spearmen models I had won on eBay a while ago:

They look fantastic!

Splendid work. Saved to my "inspiration" folder, based solely on the stunning colour scheme. Love that grey/blue style colour mixed with the blood red. Tremendous.

Woohoo! Very nice indeed! The Empire figures were probably my favorite line of Warhammer figs, at least during the plastic years (in olden metal days, probably dwarfs). That is a handsome and fierce-looking unit.

Great work! Nicely done faces and that color scheme is incredible.

Lovely colours! 8)

My word :-*
Those are brilliant, Sam. What a lovely colour scheme. Top job.

Thanks all! This blue/red color scheme is definitely one my absolute favorites.

Thanks Michael, I definitely agree about the figures. I’ve painted a lot of these older Empire miniatures.

Fantastic work Sam - great choice of colours
:)

These are a bit good. :o

Brilliant! Love that blue-grey. Do you kind me asking what the actual colour is?

Fantastic work! These were great figures, I found the newer Empire kits got a little too 'floofy' for my tastes.

Thank you! It is a sample bottle from Reaper Miniatures Master Series paint that is unlabeled. I’ve had it for a long time at this point. I thought it was Reaper’s discontinued Clouded Sea but it doesn’t match. I guess the short answer is I’m not sure. Sorry, that doesn’t help much.

I agree, they paint up very easily.

Beautiful unit, love the pose and face on that standard bearer and that guy on the left gritting his teeth. Fantastic!

I will join the chorus and point out that the greyish-blue colour is a wonderful choice.
Would anybody know of a colour in the Vallejo Model range that would be close to that?

Game Color Shadow Grey is a greyish blue 72.048 but I don't think that's what he's using? It's always hard to tell with pictures ... I think his looks like it has a bit of green in itlike a greyish blue green ... maybe.
