News just in from the Perry's via their FB page:
"Plastic Update; Austrian Cavalry
We're pleased to announce the plastic Austrian 'German' cavalry will be available at Salute. We have the first frame in, the troopers frame, and 3 ups of the command we haven't shown before. Also Alan's been painting up some of his '3up' resins so you have an idea of what they will look like. These painted resins will be on show along with a few more at Tactica in Hamburg this weekend where we'll have our usual demonstration table. Alan and Michael will be joined by Peter Dennis and Aly Morrison."

I think I will get back to my Austrian Army project that I started some years back! Time to start getting use to building Austrians and seeing 'WHITE' lol lol lol

Oh god, I've got Austrians in 15mm and 6mm already, I really shouldn't be getting groomed like this.
-
Hussars and Grenzers please.. ! I can see an Austrian detachment in my Sharp Practice future. My very first metal army was 25mm Minifig Napoleonic Austrians.
-
I believe that Alan is making this into a two (2) box release, with one covering Dragoons, Cuirassiers, etc...and a second box to cover Hussars and Uhlans. That said, I haven't seen anything on the light cavalry box but I do hope it happens!!!!!!!!!!

Your not mistaken on the plan. This post referred to the Facebook post on 6 June 2019 where 2 boxes were mentioned and a charming Hussar 3-up displayed.

Weren't chevauleger uniforms very similar to dragoons?
-
Had hoped they presented the “afghan/NWF tribesmen “ at salute instead....those cavalrymen minis are obviously very nice but they are already tons of Napoleonic minis around in every possible scale :-[
-
@Delbruck, the box above does indeed cover all three Austrian cav: Cuirassiers, Dragoons, and Chevau-Légers
@georgec, I wasn't wrong then...looking forward to even more Austrian Nap Cav...which appear to be a box of Hussars (what about the Uhlans???)!!!!!!!!! Then hopefully some Russian Nap Cavalry!!!!!!!!!
@italwars, well they did post up a pic of the main figures but I don't think they are very far along...but you never know! We will find out at Salute in April, and perhaps even sooner for those attending Tactica this weekend! ;D

I don't tend to get excited about miniature releases these days, but these I want to get my hands on as soon as they're released!
-
I am so excited I almost wet my pants, I have a large Austrian infantry collection and a very small cavalry collection, so that is about to change!
Cheers
Matt

Watch out Digits, looks like my Austrians are getting cavalry.
-
Thought I got you some?
-
I am really looking forward to these. :-)
The first box (cuirassiers, dragoons and chevauxleger) won't now be released until the coronavirus lockdown ends or reduces, whenever that will be.
The second box (hussars) may happen at some point in 2021.
No plastic 28mm Austrian lancers are planned by Perry, though Victrix has just released its French Imperial Guard lancers, which might prove convertible into Austrian uniforms.
