Soooooo starting a new armband and having heard of the dwarfs lust for all things gold thought that they would be quite at home skulking about the frosted ruins 'on the rob'
Tried converted a treasure hunter to get the feel of it
(http://)
But which school? Was thinking elementalist would give off the right vibe
Anyone else thinking along these lines
Cheers all

He looks great! In fact, I am tempted to head up to my hobby bench and make a copy for myself...
I could see an Enchanter working nicely as a rune priest/artificier type.
-
That treasure hunter is a great character!
I agree with Ogrob that a dwarf would work well as an Enchanter; that is the school that comes to my mind most readily when I think of dwarves (them being good at making stuff). I could also see a dwarf Wizard as a particularly fierce priest, so maybe a Thaumaturge? Or perhaps a former advisor to a dwarf king, perhaps a Soothsayer?
Having said that, wizards are often considered odd or eccentric even by their own kind, so your magic user does not have to be typical dwarf. He or she might have an undwarvish interest in wildlife and plants outside caves and tunnels (so may be a Witch) or perhaps they have learned how to summon creatures from other planes in a way that unsettles other dwarves, but which is tolerated so long as the gold keeps coming (Summoner). In short, the world is your oyster!
Keep us updated as your band progresses!

+1 for enchanter
or maybe a sigilist if your dwarves like runes.

Crikey you fellas you don't make things easy for a guy ;)

Next up WIP for the infantry man
Guess what I found at the bottom of the bits box
This little piggy
Counts as warhound ?
Haven't used a warhound yet. Any tips issues?
-
Nice work :-*
-
beautifuly painted! Did you greenstuff the fur around the neck to blend in the cape?
Also frostgrave is very easygoing about miniatures so that piggy can most definitely be a warhound!
-
I went for a mix of oathmark and reaper for my dwarf warband, plus a warcat.
-
Randwulf - now that's a warband...Ooh a cute little kitty...argh!
Great looking crew.
Scatterbrains yep green stuff. Probably use it on them all unifying thing and all
Cheers all
-
Cool warband. Piggy is cool, too.
-
I really like the idea of a board/pig as a warhound for dwarves. However it is fun to see Mr Tiddles, the warcat, take down a Knight
-
That's a great looking mini there. Conversion from what?
-
Let's see
Oathmark dwarf body
Oathmark human head
Fireforge north men cavalry arms dagger and pouch
Fireforge knights cloak
Dab of greenstuf for some fur collar embellishments
Job's a good un
Thanks for the comments

Knight looks great! First head I can't place, where is it from?
For the archer, I would vote bow if it's not too late.

Archer and knight/man at arms to come

Excellent! Love the helmets, that knight is gonna look great!

So the knight has arrived and the warband grows
All we need now is a wizard!

What with everything else going on just managed to finish this Warband project with the completion of the archer.
Just the seven members as it will mostly be for solo play at the moment.
Anyway hope it was worth the wait

Absolutely brilliant work. Great characterization, poses, kit bashing and brushwork. The badger and boar elements are perfect. Lovin’ it!
-
Great warband! When you said just seven members I naturally looked for Snow White :D
