Title: (Commercial) New 54mm Vietnam War range from Slave 2 Gaming
Post by: Slave_2_gaming on March 02, 2020, 11:14:28 PM
G’day once again from the Slave Dungeon,

It is the start of another month and here in Australia that means that we are moving out of a crazy Summer into (hopefully) a better Autumn. A new month also means the release of a new range of figures, these being the 54mm Vietnam War range.

These figures have been superbly sculpted by the talented Mike Broadbent.

The first in the range is the Americans. There are 8 separate poses and they can be bought as either individual figures for AU$15 or as the complete pack for AU$110 (the complete pack is shown here).

Next in the range is the Australians. As with the Americans this group has 8 separate poses and they can also be bought as either individual figures for AU$15 or as the complete pack for AU$110 (Once again, the complete pack is shown here).

Thirdly, is the Vietnamese, we have called them this because the pack has 4 of both North Vietnamese Army (NVA) and the Viet Cong. This set, as mentioned, has 8 separate poses (4 of NVA & 4 of Viet Cong) and they can be bought as either individual figures for AU$15 or as the complete pack for AU$110 (complete pack is shown here).

Finally, the American and Australian figures can also add backpacks to their figures. There are 3 different types of backpack, these are supplied randomly and cost AU$4

What size of these to the eye?  "54mm" covers a wide range of sizes.

thanks

The Aussie Radio operator is 50mm from sole of foot to the eye, so 54mm to the top of his head.

Cheers

I see Mike has made the same basic errors on these Australians as he did on his 25mm versions.

They look fine to me.

I'm looking at them as gaming pieces, never been a 'rivet counter.

I guess it's fair to say as far as accuracy goes we all have different expectations of our wargaming mini's. I'm like Carlos, I prefer historical accuracy but can see the merits of both arguments.

I should add, I wouldn't know if the Aussie uniforms were and equipment were correct or not  :)

The sculptor certainly should, he lives in Oz. No shortage of reference material.
