Following harassment, I've started posting my AB Austrians on the blog, starting with the infantry regiments. The usual disclaimers apply: This blog may cause drowsiness. Don't read my blog if taking strong medication, driving or operating heavy machinery. Wash your hands thoroughly after viewing. If symptoms persist, self-isolate for two weeks with a pile of unpainted AB Figures and paint.

Is anyone seeing three pictures above? For some reason they're not showing for me.

Link works but no pictures.

And it works... Yet those are exactly the same links as posted in the first post... Bizarre.

Ghost in the machine...

Lovely work, they are quite superb! :)
-
Cheers Jambo! :)

Very nice. Now to ride down some of those Corsican minions...
-
Well I really enjoyed the infantry but the cavalry, wow!! Superb work, really love it, the colours really "pop", the hussars and uhlans are quite superb. Great thread! :)
-
Cheers! I spent yesterday painting Imperial Guard Mamelukes, so I can't see colours any more... :o
-
Today it's the turn of the light troops:

Superb, once again!! The Austrian army of the time had so many different parts to it and so many lovely uniforms, enjoying your progress on them. :)
-
Cheers Jambo! Yes, the Austrians aren't quite as monochrome as commonly supposed. ;)
-
More flippin' Austrians... This time it's the Landwehr and Insurrectio:

Very nice stuff!! ;)

Years ago owned a huge 1/72 plastic Austrian army I had painted and converted mainly from Esci figures.
I had made conversions of Hussars, Jagers, Landwehr, Insurrectio... Austrians are really a colorful army!
But my work is pale in front of your enviable paintjobs on these gorgeous AB's! Cheers!
-
More stunning work on your army, the landwehr are cracking!! :)
-
Cheers chaps!
I need to be more careful with my basing though... Those guys look like they've been wading through the Danube swamps... :?
-
More Austrians. Try to contain your excitement...

The artillery look the part, but the staff uniforms are really splendid!
-
I have always liked the Austrian artillery, just that bit different from other nations. The staff officers are quite superb once more!! :)
-
Cheers chaps! Anyway, here's the last part for now - the Grenadiers:

Ta! I did pick that battalion because the combination of pink, parrot green and steel green was particularly revolting... ;)
