Title: The Forgotten Wargames Army: 15mm Burma
Post by: Jemima Fawr on March 27, 2020, 01:33:18 PM
I was just thinking that there's not enough WW2 stuff on my blog, so here's the first of some Burma stuff:

Great looking figures.
A wonderful battle on your web site.
It really looks like a large battle with all the 15s.
Love it. :-*

Cheers chaps!

Yes, Burma is a fascinating side of WW2 to wargame.  There aren't really any great clashes of armour, but there were occasional small clashes of armour, to keep the tread-heads happy...

What there is, is a huge variety of scenario-types and tactical situations, as well as a huge variety in troop-types and nationalities, which all adds to the fun.  Finding figures can be something of a challenge, though that's got a lot easier in recent years.  I'm still looking for suitable figures to do Stilwell's Chinese 'X' Force though (British tropical uniforms with shorts, long puttees, US M1 helmets and mostly US heavy weapons).

Amazing figures and blog.

With your Chinese X and Y Force you could buy the Eureka Miniatures 15mm WWI British in the Sinai figures and do a head swap using the Peter Pig US Helmet head pack.  They are armed with Brit weapons so it’s nearly there.

Yes, it's one of my prized possessions.  Also very handy for NW European games.
