Title: Help identifying some models.
Post by: twrchtrwyth on March 30, 2020, 08:27:15 PM
I recently bought a lot on ebay. There was some specific things I wanted and then there was all this other stuff. I don't know who produces it or what they are. Could you help?

No 7 looks like the hexes for Baatletech

http://www.ralparthaeurope.co.uk/shop/battletech-c-1/miniatures-c-1_3/accessories-c-1_3_68/20800-metal-hex-bases-4-p-1857.html

No 6 might also be Battletech

1: the bottom row are vehicle parts from old crow, mostly.

2: there's a couple of bits that could be from the old pig iron vehicles, the hatch in the middle, possibly the thing at top right.

That's my knowledge dried up.  :D

Thanks both.

Voltan, could the long strips in 2 be for the side of a vehicle to fit the wheels on?

Looks likely, but I don't recognise the parts so can't say for sure.

I only knew the others as I'd bought the kits years ago :P

I think I see some GZG minis in there, Aerial drones in 8 and figs and a wheeled drone in 10.

IIRC the walking drone from pic 10 is also from GZG. THe half figure in pic 8 is also from GZG

Yes, it's a fastpack from a super Valkyrie.  The rest, idk.

The Dwarfs in 9 look like Iron Mask Miniatures:

Pic 1 except the very top right are all old crow parts.

Pic 2 the top right and middle stepped trapezium hatch are both Pig iron I think.

Are you sure it is not from an Armoured Valkyrie?

The brass sprue in image 4 is the antenna array from the 6mm sci-fi naval vtol-carrier ship Old Crow used to produce.

The sprue has 2 parts: the larger piece in the image is the tower (the 2 ‘wings’ at the side fold in). The smaller piece is the top (the rectangle folds down to fit on the top of the tower, and holds the antenna array).

You could glue it to one of the resin buildings as a signal tower - might make a decent piece of scatter terrain with 6mm figs.

You wouldn't happen to have a picture would you?

I don’t have a pic handy, but I’m happy to take one tomorrow morning and post it (it’s 9:45 pm in my time zone).

Here are a couple of pics of the model, with the antenna array in place.

#5 is, I think, "Road/Kill" miniatures from the 2017 kickstarter.

The long metal parts in #2 may also be from that range and it's possible some of the small gun turrets and things are too.

Three things at top left of #3 looks like the comms tower from that range and something else and a pop-up turret.

The car at the back of #10 is possibly one of the add-on minis.

All currently OOP I think after Mega Minis disappeared.

Nicely spotted.

Pic 11.  These look like 30mm Minot Napoleonics.  They were made of a particularly soft metal.  I have a few somewhere.
