Title: Age of Arthur 'Kriegsspiel'
Post by: TWD on April 01, 2020, 11:06:00 PM
Inspired by  Captain Blood's post on another board (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=123481.0) (though not nearly as ambitious or nice looking) I decided to break the Lockdown Gaming Drought with a kind of Kriegsspiel game.

I set up the table and the forces, then James and Martin supplied me with orders via Facebook messenger.

The Saxons advanced swiftly while the Late Romans held steady

However the Saxon warlord at the end of his line rather lost contact with the rest of his force who ground to a halt.

And the Romans pushed up

The lines came together and the grim business of slaughter began

Eventually the Saxons broke and began to flee

And the Romano British village was saved.

That’s a good idea to keep playing!

I bet a lot of folks would like to do that regardless of the panic.
