Post by: racm32 on April 06, 2020, 06:14:19 PM
Finally finished painting my collection of prehistoric animals for Pailo Diet and other games. More photos on my blog: https://wyndehurstproductions.blogspot.com/2020/04/prehistoric-animals.html (https://wyndehurstproductions.blogspot.com/2020/04/prehistoric-animals.html)

Great work - but I think that hunter in the second picture is about to become lunch!

I’ve been using both Tribal/Primeval and Fistful of Lead.  Having fun with both, though FfoL is better suited to solo play. Using figures from Lucid Eye for my tribes, and primarily Reaper for my Ice Age beasts.

I haven't played any games yet with FfoL but the rules seem to be perfect for it. Pailo Diet Eat or Be Eaten is great for Solo or cooperative play if you want to do hunting games. I also have a load of the lucid eye miniatures and they are next up for painting.

With FfoL, it is just a question of giving figures appropriate skills, both human and beasts. I’m more interested in tribes versus tribe primarily.

A new set of rules for this era is on kickstarter right now. It is by Cardboard Dungeon Games out of Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA created by Nick Wilkins. This is Nick's second kickstarter and is called PrimEVO. The link is below:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/861915065/primevo/?ref=kicktraq

It is nearly funded, about $131 short of the funding goal. His first kickstarter was The Carniverse and is an absolute awesome game to play. He also had it available and delivered over one month earlier than expected.

get out and support this game. It needs to come to light!!

I forgot to mention...

He is also including the final stretch goal for solo gaming as a bonus due to the Covid-19 virus and social isolation. It is due to be released in September.

Those are great - I especially love the bear. Where's s/he from?

Do please let us see them in some Palaeo Diet action!  :D

I think I got the bear from reaper miniatures metal range.
Here is a link with some of the animals in my last Pailo diet game: https://wyndehurstproductions.blogspot.com/2019/02/paleo-diet-eat-or-be-eaten-aar.html (https://wyndehurstproductions.blogspot.com/2019/02/paleo-diet-eat-or-be-eaten-aar.html)
