Title: Start of 28mm Crimean war armies
Post by: steders on April 08, 2020, 10:11:14 AM
Been toying with the crimean for a long time. I decided to bite the bullet and buy both sides.
Mainly Warlord for the infantry plus great war miniatures to fill the gaps. I'll need some foundry as well
First 3 british infantry regiments

Lovely :)

That's a whole pile of stuff to get through though lol

Thanks.
I don't think I'll do the same thing I did with both my WOTR and romans/barbarians projects though. At about this stage I set up all of the empty bases to give me an idea what space the armies would take up on the table.
I felt a palpable weight of the amount of work I had ahead of me, very disheartening!!

Good luck, that's a pile of work, painting and basing.  Hope you can maintain the motivation to get it done.  I have similar projects in the lead pile that seemed like a good idea at the time but as the years went by just became unfinished or unstarted.  AWI anyone?

The Crimean War is a great one to do, colorful uniforms, inept commanders, troops doing whatever....

So you started this project in early April 2020 and you already have this much done...WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!! My hat off to you for your diligence and overall output! Keep at it! When your done, you can start on my massive Foundry collection! ;)
