Title: Some of my martian terrain,work in progress.

Its the core of a martian temple oasis surrounded by arid terrain,mesas and the like.
The overgrown temple is guarded by some decadent high martian temple guards in ceremonial outfit (repainted Star Wars miniatures,Utapaun) armed with not that reliable electro guns.
The great ancient wisdom of mars went into oblivion with its former overlords.
Allthough not many martians believe in the elder gods,some still know their time will come,when the stars are right.
Some say,this time has come...
The time when those pale earthlings will face a horrible fate.

Still a lot to do on my list,the board,some buildings,the mesas,buttes and a smal lake.

Fantastic looking scenery. How about some close ups? Do you have a gallery somewhere?

Sorry,but I have not enough time to make a decent website,nor much for better pictures. :(
I look into close ups when I make photos of miniatures next time.

What pieces did you use to build the walker? 40K Orcs dreadnout?

The model is a MK IV (?) from Demonblade/Shockforce,oop.

The strange looking weapon on the Imperial Steam Walker type RR QVII (Royal Royce Queen Victoria II) is a Subsonic Long Range Acoustic Device (LRAD).
Its quite handy to frighten off dinosaurs in Equatorial Bongostan,malayan pirates in the South China Sea and French on Venus.
 
The mechanical brain of this robot is the really famous difference engine,Lovelace Ver.III,a astonishingly cunning mind.
In 1889 all Imperial Steam Walkers of this type,attached to special units on mars,were granted to be full members of that unit.
Since they are a lot smarter than most of the rest of the british military,they soon realized that to conform to their fellow soldiers they also had to wear their uniform!
Corporate Identity you know.

:) I swear,I will not tell anybody. :)

I bought mine on Ebay,nobody wanted that sad little tin can robot.
But I saw his inner beauty and couldn't resist the unbelievable price of €5,30,p&p included. :)

I looked it up,it is out of production.Demonblade folded in 2000 or so.
There is a guy selling the inventory off on ebay USA.
He maybe even have the molds,since he is selling the miniatures for years.

He even produces new miniatures.There is a new version of the walker.
Not that fun like mine,but you can see,that he used parts of it in the newer model.
The name is still the same,'Atrocitor Mark II',a Thugnaught.
Org Thugs are an orcoid mafia in a postapocalyptic setting of the Shockforce rules.
So just ask there or at Dark Tortoise Production.
As far as I know they sculpted the miniatures and sell remainig inventory of it.

But in the end,it could be cheaper to buy an old Orc Dreadnaught from the archiv of GW.Don't know if they have it.
They were very similar.
