The Battle of Fuentes de Oñoro is where my first 10mm project will be set. Wellington's lads will be first up but I'm not sure about the Heavy Dragoons...Still very much wearing the cocked hat (or shako-like watering cap) at the time. Do you need maps, orbats and stuff? I've still got all the players' briefings etc from when we did the AB Figures Wargames Weekend in 2001.
Cocked hat thingy or Roman style helmet with horsehair dangley bits????
That would be excellent, thank you. Shall I pm you or can you put it on the forum?I'll be totally mercenary and make it into a blog-post to boost my views! lol:)
Lovely figures and a great inspiration. I'm hoping to get away with a less detailed paint job in 'munchkin scale'!Certainly will! Is next weekend soon enough for you?
Will you do another blog link when you've done the batle details?:)
Oooh! Very nice! I'll have to crib this for an eventual Bloody Big Battles scenario. I look forward to maps and all too.Map you say...
A few months back I read Baron Marbot's memoirs. This is a prime source if you want to know about the feuds between the various marshals. Bessieres had feuds with many of the marshals. Massena would have preferred Bessieres sent troops and didn't accompany them.Indeed. He promised the 'Army of the North' and instead turned up with a weak cavalry brigade and some guard cavalry that nobody was allowed to use. lol
