Post by: Mason on May 27, 2020, 09:30:51 PM
The second instalment of the Beasts of Outland range of fantasy creatures has gone 'live' and this time it is the turn of 'The Giants!'

Up first is the Mature Noif, a huge Beastie standing approx 70mm tall at the shoulder, this is (literally) the Granddaddy of the Herd...

Here is one coloured-in, using simple drybrushing and washes he comes up pretty good pretty quickly...

Strolling alongside the rest of the family you get a true sense of his size....

The Adult Noif in the group are on 60mm bases, so you can see why he has not been based yet...I need to make one!
He makes an excellent Giant Grazer for Palaeo Diet and a huge Beast to roam the plains of Outland, my own sci-fi Colony world.

Alongside the Noif is the Giant Hominid, which stands at approx 40mm at the shoulders....

He comes with a choice of three heads for a bit of variety....

Some painted examples, again using drybrushing and washes, one is a traditional black/grey Great Ape colouring whilst the second has been painted green for my own setting...

...and another shot (showing the third head coloured-in) alongside a Palaeo Diet Ooman for size comparison...

And finally, a couple of shots showing comparative sizes of Noif, Ooman and Hominid...

...and alongside a 28mm scale Noif Herder* from the Blind Beggar Outlanders range....

*Who is hoping he remembered to charge up his Electro Gun fully before he went to bed last night!

I gave one of the test casts to a mate of mine.

'If it is good enough for Skeletor, it is good enough for me', he said.....
