Hi guys, I am new to this wargaming sector, I would like to make a zoo diorama or just collecting 28mm wild or safari animals, I have done some research on google, and discovered ranges of animals like Wargames Foundry, North star Africa, Acheson creations... But I have no idea of the quality of those minis, so If anyone of you could tell me his personal preference or the best sculpted range, I would be very grateful :)
Cheers!

Northstar for me - sculpting is good, casting is good and the prices aren't scary.

It kind of varies based on the Animal. I think Foundry has the nicest Gorillas but I don’t care for their hyenas. Acheson has many nice sculpt but there later stuff, eg the Elephant, is superior. Here’s a photo of my current African Menagerie.

Ral Partha had a pack, "Animals of Africa" with a nice range of safari animals. I think Northstar are quite nice as well. Those are the two I went with for my African animals collection.

The Vendel animals are very nice. Not a wide range.
You can get them by contacting the Thistle & Rose guys on their Facebook page.

Many thanks for your quick replies guys! I thing I will go for North Star and definitely will have a look at the others :)

I like the Ral Partha ones, they might be a bit small though.

The Ral Partha animals are a little small by today's standards but they are very nice. Here are a few of mine, the second pic with a Copplestone Masai warrior for size comparison. The scale tick doesn't bug me here.

I like the North Star stuff as well as the Foundry stuff.

Deezee, mostly prehistoric but some current animals too or Bear's Head for me. PhilH from Bear's head frequents here frequently showing a lot of his work.
