Hi everyone,
I’ve been eager to start a log for my new Oathmark project, so here it is. To date I’ve built and started painting ten human infantry with hand weapons and shields.
I started by removing the plastic tabs and adding magnets to some 25mm square MDF bases.
Following assembly I airbrushed with Vallejo black primer and then Vallejo armour brown. I really like working from armour brown, it’s a really good general purpose base colour!
The current state of the unit is quite messy, I’ve been splodging on base colours to check the colour scheme I have in mind. It’s very work in progress but I’m happy so far.
More to come in the not too distant future hopefully!

Off to a great start!

They're looking great already, especially without the plastic base.
What material did you use for the ground texture?

Thank you both 😃
The base texture is the mig mud ‘light earth’ https://www.migjimenez.com/en/111-acrylic-mud-for-dioramas
I paint over mine most of the time, and guess the other colours will have a similar texture? Hope this helps!

Hi again!
I had a change of heart regarding the colour scheme and tried out some different colours on the first five. I’m happy with how they’re coming along. All their base coats are done now and the guy on the left has had his washes too. Just highlights and basing to figure out and I’ll have my recipe sorted! 😃

They are looking very neat, smooth basecolors!

Thanks 😊 I’m trying not to rush them, I’m glad if they look neat!
