Love all the figures that Victrix do, especially the Gallic range.
However I値l probably need some sling armed skirmisher figures.
Any suggestions for these?

Kitbash/convert with these maybe? https://www.victrixlimited.com/collections/ancient-iberians/products/ancient-balearic-slingers
I used them to make some irish slingers for SAGA.

Crusader do Celtic skirmishers that are a mix of slingers and archers, and fit fine size-wise, and Warlord do slingers too. I've got both of those in my army along with some Victrix models. They are different in style to the Victrix, I think less heroic in size but still quite chunky and fit fine.

Maybe using the victrix Germanic kit for skirmishers with javelins and for slingers use slings taken from greek or balearic sets?
I have victrix celts for my carthaginians and was thinking of using the ancient Germanic kit (without EIR bodies and equipment) for non-warband troops like skirmishers.

I am just hoping that some sculptor some day will sculpt slingers who actually hold the weapon properly. Most are designed with the release and retained lengths clutched in the figures fist. Nitpicky thing not related to main post, but it does irk me! lol
You could source young looking heads(Gallic slingers were usually young men/youths?) from a different range and stick them on Balearic slingers?

I used Warlords plastics for bodies, Victrix heads and gripping beast slings.

I had a load of sling hands left over from my GBP dark ages warriors, and they fit right on the clothed Victrix Gallic warrior arms.
(I could probably mail you a dozen if you like).

They've come out pretty well. I think I am going to substitute the Gallic slingers for Germans using 1st Corps.

DIY option is the better way to get slings.
Cut a piece of strong paper and give it the sling shape then add a small glue/paper/green dumpling and the job is done.
apply glue on the sling to fix it in the pose you need .
if you are perfectionist guy, add a smal bag at the belt of the figurine . ;)
