Last week I got an emergency call. "Would you paint my Bloodbowl figures? Until next week?"
So I sprang into the battle brush mobile and picked up the figures. After some negotiations we agreed on doing one team for now, and I'd get 2 weeks time rather than just one. A whole Reikland Reavers team plus star players (Griff Oberwald, Mighty Zug, Morg'n'Thorg, Karla von Kill, Helmut Wulf), all the latest sculpts. Two Blitzers, one catcher and one thrower have been replaced with the alternative sculpts by Forgeworld.
Got the figures built, but still covered in mold lines. That's life. Here they are after some cleaning and basing:

That's how far I got so far. I'd say I'm halfway done? About? Not sure. Anyway, hope you like them so far!

lol, the difference the basing makes is quite remarkable though. They really finish it off superbly :)

I keep looking at this thinking it technically should be in Other Adventures, where Blood Bowl is mentioned as one of those Other Adventures. But, from a selfish perspective, I rather like it on this Board! The team looks fantastic, really smooth painting.

@Elk101: Yeah, I wasn't quite sure where to put it. Now that you mention it, I may have had an earlier BB-themed thread moved to "Other adventures" a few years back because I wrongly put it in Fantasy as well. I'll have to check. Thanks very much for the compliments! :)

Phew. These are a fair bit more work than the regular human team I did earlier. Loaded with detail and individuality and all. A fair bit of effort was put into adressing the problem that the team is bascially two copies of the same sprue. I also tried to put the figures together in a fashion that makes the half-clones even less apparant. Pretty figures though. Huge. Oh, and the Yhetee star player is good.

Very nice. Are they GW or someone else? The Yeti's/trolls or whatever they are don't quite seem GW style.

Straight-up and 100% GW. I agree though, especially on the Yhetees and stuff like the boars and so on I got very much of a Guild Ball vibe.

Oh, thanks very much. :) BB certainly is one of the if not THE strongest games GW put out (and improved on by the community). I'm really, really bad at it, but then I only ever played someone who I think spent all his years as a teen playing BB. :D But I see why it's such a beloved game.

Man these type of shots make me really sad none of my mates play the game. :'(
I know we're supposed to look at the - admittedly great looking - Norse, but those old-school Orcs are a real show stealer. Love me some 90ies flames. :o
