The dust has well and truly settled on last years LPL and I think a great time was had by all, I know I certainly had one. My question is will there be another this year?
Thanks

I would have started another thread. LPL 14.
I'm not sure, depends on when it is, but might join in. I need to get through this summer first.

Split that for you - as a general interest-gauging measure, I agree it's best off on its own.
-
There's zero chance of me taking part again unfortunately, but I'm happy to provide crowd noise to be piped into the empty stadium where the contest is taking place, as is the fashion these days (cricket is coming back next week in that format too - hurrah!).
-
As it's a big commitment I would not guarantee participation, but I would enter if I could. A lot depends on timing for me. Autumn \ Winter increases the chances of me being able to take part. ::)

Happily take part again, but likewise would prefer autumn/winter...

Well said sir! Though sadly I fear the village cricket season is going to consist of only about four weekends' worth. And I bet it rains too. Very hard on a spin bowler, rain is.

I have plenty of time now to paint but I am suddenly at the mercy of arthritis flareups. Totally falling apart now that I retired. :(
If I can I would be interested again. I would agree fall or winter seems better for an LPL.
-
There's a nonzero chance. ;)
I have lead, I have summer holidays starting soon, weather forecast looks a bit crap, and almost all events are obviously cancelled. It's either an army project or preparing stuff for LPL...or both? ???
-
I have lead,
Isn't that a given really? lol
-
I would like to participate. Dusting of my camera is long overdue.
-
I'd be up for it :)

I'd be up for it :)
me too... to fill the bottom of the point list once again lol
-
I'd be interested again. I had a great time, and got a ton more painted than I usually do (or did. I've been painting a lot this summer.)
-
Have the resolution to participate atleast once. If starting is around autumn / winter I would like to try to participate for the first time.
-
I'd be up for another go round for sure!
-
Okay. We shall have a think about when and whether it is viable for someone to run it :)
-
Thanks

Sounds like fun, I would throw my brush is the ring........ although probably just to compete with Calimero for low points! lol

I'm also interested again, depending on the details.
-
Interested, & would like to try this time to enter.

Me too! ::)
Actually in a painting mode right now.

I will be teaching online this year instead of in the classroom. If this spring's last 7 weeks online is any indication, that will actually mean more time spent working and less free time painting. We'll see, though.
I am definitely interested, though. After a 1-2 year hiatus, I feel I may have my painting mojo back... lol Count me as a definite maybe... :D

I'm starting in person but I don't think that will last long ;)
Online is a hell of a lot of work.
I'll likely try to squeeze into the LPL though ;)

As there was no LPL last year is it dead forever? (Just curious as I'm painting some groups in the next few weeks\months that could be suitable entries. ::) )
-
If it does not overlap with the BSC, I might try it again. It's great for painting motivation for me lol
-
Sorry guys. Nobody seems much interested in running it right now. It's a lot of work for the admin, in return for which, actual participation in recent LPLs (both by painters and voters) has become pretty thin. So I'm afraid I don't think it looks very likely in the forseeable future. But I would certainly never say never again :)
-
A sad day
A day for all miniature flags to be at half mast
If in the future it does return and you need some help I'm quite willing where I can
-
Captain Blood - what's the set up like for running it? Can you/someone PM me?
If there were enough people committed to taking part I might be able to do the admin side for another one (and enter it myself)

Yes, I think many of us had noticed that. Shame, but perhaps it has just run its course.

How about a new “painting club”? Those seem to motivate and get 100 entries. I know I’d enter without the stress of competition, plus get another cool badge for my sig.
