Todays release is something of a massive project.
For the 28mm World War One range we have created a complete 4.5" howitzer from the actual gun to both limbers and the full horse team with of course crew.
This gun came into service 1910 and served throughout WW1 , the Interwar period and into WW2. We will be doing versions for both the Jazz Age range and the late 1930's early 1940's mechanised range.
Obviously you do not need many of these in your army, although we do recommend 10 or 12 🧐😂
BEF14 FIELD GUN.
BEF15 GUN CREW.
BEF16 BOTH LIMBERS.
BEF17 6 HORSE TEAM.
BEF18 7 MAN LIMBER CREW.
BEF19 HOWITZER AND CREW.
BEF20 THE FULL MONTY. This is the complete set with a special deal price.
Other guns are just going through the various production phases.

That is very, very pretty - absolutely no need for it but I do fancy slapping paint on one sometime o_o

:o

Wow :-*
I remember the Airfix one. That always seemed a bit of an esoteric oddity amongst the rest of their HO/OO plastic soldier sets.
(Not so in your case, obvs :D)
-
Wow, nice!
Other guns? Tell us more, please....
-
I bought the patrol boat last week and now this today! You guys, gals and Paul are just knocking it out the park! :-* let my bank account catch up now though please lol

funny, I had the same reaction.. we must belong to the same generation...

Very nice indeed :-*
My only issue is that both Foundry and GWM do Early War BEF limbers but no one does a Late War one (I don’t like doing head swaps). In addition German and Russian limbers are also much needed.
-
Not only pretty but highly useful. Widespread use over a long period. Looking forward to the Martin Parry version.
Airfix did a 4.5” howitzer? Don’t recall that at least not in their OO/HO range. Only gun I am aware of was the RHA 13 pounder and team.
-
Nice work from John Hart on the artillery piece and limbers.
-
So glad to see Empress expanding their fantastic First World War range.
-
Let’s hope they can expand it to 1917 and beyond.

Oh, was it a 13 pounder and not a 4.5” howitzer? Gosh. I’m sorry. What an inexcusable faux pas... ::)
I meant, as I’m sure you understood, that Airfix produced a full WW1 RHA six horse team, limber, gun and crew. Similar right? And you know, just a passing observation. But nitpick away if it makes you happy ;)

There you go, you see... :)

Glad you like it Guys and Gals. :-*
This was very much a group effort which is why it took so long. However there are a number of others also going through the pipeline including the 18pdr and of course the 13pdr which will of course be a subtle homage to the Airfix pack some of us grew up with. ;)
-
tremendous :-*
-
Outstanding Model.
-
Stunning work :-* Without a doubt I’ll place an order for the howitzer+team
-
looking forward to the next guns and the late war crews.
-
Thanks chaps ;) :-*

Have I mentioned the Ordnance 13 pounder...

Already made. Currently sorting the horses then crew.

So are there plans for Russian and German limbers?
-
Yes to German.

Yes to German.
:) Great news. Will there be Early and Late War versions?

The released version is early war. We have no plans for the late version.

Oh bother, well here to hoping we see a Mountain howitzer section for late world war 2 instead. lol

Possibly one for French Indo China.

I'll take it!

Todays release is a 28mm WW1 gun and limber set.
This set can also be bought in parts, for example the gun and crew, or just the gun and crew.
The limber comes as an option to make one of four variations.

Great looking gun and crew.

I like the detail on the gun!

Would be lovely if the whole range got a set of tin hats.
Lovely set. The detail on the gun is exquisite.
-
Cool.
Still looking forward to a 13 pounder and crew.
-
Cheer guys.
No plans for late war but may do 1930's version.

Surely Late War would be a lot more commercially viable and at a push you could still use it for 1930s for those who wanted to?

Not if we do not have a late war figure range but do have an interwar early WW2 one ;)
-
Wouldn’t really take much to convert the existing ones. Set of tin hats and one of respirator bags. Only thing missing would be a Lewis gunner and you could possibly just nick one of those from your late interwar range.
Currently a bit of gap in the market. Renegade are OOP and unless you are in the US, the shipping costs kill any order from Brigade Games stone dead. I suspect Wargames Atlantic will produce some in plastic at some point but they won’t be as nice as Paul’s sculpts.
