Thank you Rick! That day cant be far away! I am hoping the next one will be twice the size but with considerably less terrain I expect

Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed it ,I am never quite sure how to pitch the tone.I like the idea of telling a story and including deatil of the game play, but I am more than happy for any constructive criticism. Is there anything you think I could improve?

Thanks mate :)

I do not have any recommendations to improve your stuff mate. You are much better at breaking down each photo and your terrain.... wow! It must have taken ages to lay out all those loose stones like that.

Thanks Rick, I do take some time setting out the table. The "look" of the table is very important to me as I spend a lot of time in between turns walking around the board and loking from different angles. Obviously, I canonly do this now while playing solo due to Covid. I often try a couple of ideas before I settle on the final lay out. I find it a very relaxing part of the process and I take time to try and get it looking "right" The little loose stones was a good idea, I smashed up a rock with a hammer! I have two cups of the chips and I pour them out and push them around until they look ok.
I gather a lot of my terrain on walks in the countryside. Lichen looks great as bushes and ages well. I usually have a plastic bag for collecting twigs and vegetation and a small pot for interesting stones.
The road and the stream are built on MDF bases from War bases. They are in sections 5cm, 10cm and 20 cm I think. The roads are covered in bits of gravel and sand and sprayed with Citadel Zandri dust, washed with GW Agrax and the occasional rock is picked out with light grey or beige. When I lay them on the table I flip them upside down and join them with small lengths of sticky tape to prevent them moving apart. After I have taken pictures I use "spot fix" to hide any cracks that show.
I am not completely happy with my trees. The foliage has a uniform colour that I do not love. I am going to try coating patches in scatter and maybe some dry brushing. I tried a green wash but it just soaked into the clump and got lost.

When we started my wife was all for natural materials for terrain. I was unconvinced. I thoughtmixing in natural materials would make the synthetic and painted items look out of place but I have come around to her... and it would appear your... way of thinking.
