Piccies my sadly now long gone WHFB Wood Elf Army taken from an old laptop.

Although I regularly lost in a impressive and spectacular manner I really used to love playing with this army.

They look lovely.  Why are they long gone?  Did you sell them? Or perhaps melt them down when GW blew up the Old World?  :)

Yep quite a few yeara ago now. Seeing the pictures again was certainly one of those moments when I felt my heart tug and my brain whisper "why?" :(

It was well before AoS, which I wouldn't even entertain playing. Part of the appeal to WHFB, at least from my perspective was the clunky nature of the rules and the quirkiness of the game. My favourite version of all time had to be WHFB Third Edition. I used to regularly drool over that book. I was never one for powering up armies. I remember one time, I had a Chaos Army which got wiped out by a Wood Elf army with just the chap's Wardancers and a Steadfast scroll  lol lol He gloated and it didn't really bother me one bit- the fun was always in the playing of the game.

some of the images are duplicates but I wanted to give the impression of the size of the army as their were two units of Wardancers, Glade Guard, Dryads and Archers. For some reason i didn't get around to photographing the two units of spears  o_o
