Inspired by the basing in the Retreat from Moscow game here on the LAF I painted up and based the first of my Argentinians for the War of the Triple Alliance.
-
Lovely job on those, they look great :-*
-
Nicely done 8)
-
Very nice work.
-
Yeah, looking good.
-
Those are very nice, really cracking work. :)
-
really like them.trying to convince my group to jump in .
-
Very nice indeed.
-
Well painted.
May I ask the size of the bases you mounted them on?
-
Beautiful work! What rules will you use them with?
-
60mm base. I can use them for a variety rules: Black Powder, Rebels and Patriots, but will most likely use my own Fistful of Lead Bigger Battles.
-
They look really good.
-
Stonking miniatures and basing! :-*
-
Really nice.
I expect the basing is to conform to a set of rules ???
Care to divulge?

OK, which rules are you using? :)
-
I'm no psychic but I'm guessing Black Powder, Rebels and Patriots, and FfoL Bigger Battles.

He's using a variety of rules:
- Black Powder
- Rebels and Patriots
- but most likely he's going to use his own Fistful of Lead Bigger Battles.
Not really sure how he could make it any easier to understand.

Cheers for that. I've never tried A Fistful of Lead Bigger Battles but I have seen the mechanism for activating units used in conjunction with Lion Rampant. It worked really well. 8)

Now in "Algerian" surplus uniforms.
-
Splendid 8)
-
They look ace. :-*
-
Interesting and unique painting style.
It works very well. :-*

Love 'em :-*
-
Very nice!! Cracking job. :)

This is a great range.I hope it's selling well in South America.

...or anywhere else.
Really cool to see those painted up, especially so nicely and based in such a dynamic way!
-
They (the Perrys_ sound like they have more in the pipeline. Just hoping they don't get distracted by the Franco-Prussian War. I'm ordering cavalry next.
-
Yeah that happen's sometimes.Like Gringo 40's was going like gangbusters on his Tonkin range and was excited about doing a Dahomey/Madagascar follow up range but then got into a modern Vietnam range that you can tell he's super cool about. He's a one man show so he can only do so much at a time.

those are great.

Paraguay enters the fray.
-
Really like your painting. The Paraguayans seem s to be everyone's favorite. lol :D

Great additions 8)
-
Love 'em :-*
-
Everyone loves Paraguayans because you can paint them in half the time. No crazy amounts of piping. Although the stripes on their Shakos are a pain. However, I read they were painted on, so I don’t feel terrible how they turned out. But, I’ll need hordes of them. I might use some old Rebel ACW officers to mix in for variety.
-
Lovely work :-*
These forces are going to look grand in numbers.
-
Great addition! :-*
Super project. Will be watching with lots of interest.
-
Lovely work..Love the dice holders...
-
I am thinking of doing this poorly represented war in 6mm, should be fun and there is someone on the Baccus forum who is listing figures he is using
-
Got some cav I need to post.
-
Stop slacking and being all fuzzy then ;D
-
Superb looking units, painting suits them and the conflict in my mind, basing superb but then I loved your source and favour such basing myself these days. Cannot wait to see the cavalry so will keep this thread on the favourite loop!
Great work, long may it continue.
-
They look the business BaronVonJ :-*
A very attractive range indeed from the Perry's and one that it took a great deal of steadfast self control not to succumb to.
On a par with their First Carlist War range for allure :)
-
Atheling
Both ranges would benefit from your lazy daub approach to painting so get an order in, must have almost finished the Sudan distraction. 😉😂

Add to that the Second Anglo Afghan War and the Wars of Belisarius and Heraclius and erm..... nope, maybe in another decade lol

Distinct lack of ambition

Very nice indeed!

Love 'em :-*

Nice addition! :-*
Your project is going well! ;D
-
Excellent :-*
It will be great to see them all 'mixing it up' en masse at some point when you're good and ready 8)
-
Painting second group between writing.
-
More Paraguayan cavalry. These are more militia types.
-
Nice job on those minis 👍
-
Yeah they really look good. ;D

Lovely work :-*
This is a very attractive range o_o
-
I was attracted by the colorful uniforms and the fact it's basically ACW in the jungle. Argentinian cav is next.

Sounds quite interesting, though, I must not think like that! Too tempting! :D

.. but it was bloodier than the ACW.
-
Your work is outstanding! I'll be following! Cheers!

Argentinian Cavalry
-
Very nice work on the cavalry, it is very tempting to get into this range but not just yet..... :)
-
Fab stuff :-*
I'm really enjoying this thread. The uniforms are at once colourful and ad hoc.
BTW, have you thought about including some of the new casualty packs into the bases?
-
Another crackin' unit, love the colours :)
-
Very very nice.
-
Right now, the only casualties are Brazilian. When they finally get the ones I want, They’ll be on their bases.
