These three metal miniatures have been mounted onto 2p coins and the groundwork built up with Milliput epoxy putty.

Nice work on them, I love pax Bochemanica and have loads of the miniatures, so it's nice to see some love for them. :)

The next project in my Pax Bochemannic themed month was this blister pack of two resin soldiers and a Scorpio.

Tony, those are fantastic minis! Who makes 'em?
-
"Those are fantastic minis! Who makes 'em?"
They are from the Pax Bochemannica game produced by Maveryc Games. I'm not sure if they are still in production but you could try Ebay or Steve Blease at Bleaseworld.
Here are the links;

Good luck.

Nice paintwork. I had to look up what the game was about.... Goblin Romans vs Skinhead Celtic halflings??? There's nowt as queer as miniature wargaming :)
-
The Pax Boche Squorpion has now had the base decorated. Please note I believe that the Scorpio was called a Squorpion in the official gaming back and game.....

"Goblin Romans (actually Orc Roman Legionaries) vs Skinhead Celtic Halflings Hooligans? There's nowt as queer as miniature wargaming !"
I agree and I think this is why I love the game so much - it's just MAD, totally bonkers.

I quite like the mechanic of themed months as they focus the mind and as in this case force me to paint up some of the lead (and resin) I have on my To-Do shelf. But I'd be interested in reading what others think of Themed Months?

Lovely work, Tony.
Minifigs is Caliver Books and they used to look after the range when Maveryc was in-between owners. Hysterical Games was eventually entrusted with ownership of the range and even released a few new kits and figures for the range, but sadly sales were very poor for the range and focus had to shift elsewhere. There were plans to introduce the 'Gaublish' (Goblin Gauls) and the Brutish Seelie (hippy psycho-hobbit Britons) in an expansion supplement that would have included rules for the Splata and the Noman Onager Warmachines as well as new characters for the Boche.
I personally think it would have been a good slow burner which, over time, would gather interest as the range grew and started to include more recognisable fantasy races. Elves were chalked in to be Greeks and Dwarves were going to be Welsh...
Totally mad stuff, but it was a joy to work on.
Steve Blease at Wessex Games is now looking after all of the miniatures Hysterical Games had in it's catalogue, but he has not been able to release them in earnest. I'm not sure reaching out to him right now would help particularly, but it may give an indication of which ranges would be worth starting on.
-
It always struck me as a game that should have been more successful. I believe that I have at least one of all of the minis available and even some spares in my collection. I've taken the opportunity to search 'other' manufacturers for character and specialised minis.
Hopefully I can keep adding to the collection.
