Dwarf Roman Legate Argol of the VII Legion, riding a war ram for a little fantasy Infamy Infamy. Argol is no rich senator's son, he is a harden veteran of many campaigns against the Gauls and has earned the right to lead through his combat prowess

I've been drooling over WestWind dwarfs for years and I had never seen them in any form other than on the website.
these look great and you've done an excellent job.
You might have almost convinced me to get some.

I really like the roman wolf knights  :o

Really nice work. What has that poor bird done to that cavalry chap to be waved about in such a fashion?! Good to see riding wolves not just the mount of green skins.

How do you get such crisp lines and squares on shields and capes.

excellent work!

ahahah I wonder if a hawk used as a weapon could actually be effective in combat.

Luigi I have a fair bit experience with raptors and if you’re lucky in this case the moment you let it go it’s going to ‘bonk’ your head with both it’s feet (and that’s if it likes you and is just annoyed) or worse attack you and then head either home or to the nearest tree so it can stare at you like you’re a moron. Beautiful but fickle/capricious and judgemental in my experience. Potential as a weapon is very high (being the target of a diving bird is unnerving at best) but control of said aggression depends (much like a dog) on the individual bird - the great Terry Pratchett described predatory birds minds very well as sharp and silvery - it’s easy to see where dinosaurs went when you spend time with them (my amazon parrot believes he is a T-Rex).

Extremely interesting! Thanks for letting me know, this is actually really cool...

and definitely a much more refined approach to a weaponized raptor as opposed to what I had in mind: grabbing the bird by its feet or tail and just swing it around as a club.

I really like your painting style, it's unique and very reminiscent of gfraphic novels.

Also these last dwarfs you painted remind me so much about the dwarfs in this comic book series [link reported as unsafe and removed].

Lord Raglan,

How did you make the fortification?   Is it from scratch or is it an expanded foam kit?

I love the mix of colors in the paint and am going to try and copy it.

I legit just looked at those models yesterday and was wondering what they'd look like in real life.

You've definitely convinced me to get a couple of boxes.

Did you shave the hammer off the shields or did you use a different shield?

Also, this goes without saying, amazing work!

Just a warning to anyone tempted to click this link: it leads, in order of annoyingness, to a number of interstitial pages, a number of adverts, which can thankfully be skipped, an Ali Express portal, and a warning that your device has been infected by - in my case - four viruses, which can only be defeated by downloading the appropriate app - Apple Care for iPhone users - before the end of the countdown. At the end of all this you will finally encounter the promised site for reading comics online. Judging by the images I saw the majority if not all may fairly be described as ‘adult content’.
