Title: Star Wars Legion paint sets: who makes them?
Post by: Karadek on August 31, 2020, 07:41:45 PM
I saw FFG is releasing two new paint sets for Star Wars Legion. I didn't even know they'd released the previous three.

I don't really need new paints, but I like that they match the actual colors from the films fairly well. At this point, I'm wondering what the quality will be like.

I find it hard to believe that FFG has their very own paint line. Does anyone know who the manufacturer is for these paints?

They are from Army Painter:

I don't have any of the Star Wars Sets, but I bought two of their Shadows of Brimstone sets a few years back.  Army Painter licensed sets are usually a mix of relabeled paints from their existing line along with a few unique colors.  In terms of quality, they are generally good, but I've found a few stinkers here and there (maybe one or two in ten were low quality).  I'd put them right below Vellijo in terms of quality.  I can't get enough of their "Strong Tone Wash"  though.  I like it better than Vallijo or GW washes and they put it in many of the licensed sets.

Sweet. Thanks. They reminded me most of Army Painter, but I couldn't find it anywhere online to confirm.
