Title: 28mm SCW personalities?
Post by: NickNascati on September 09, 2020, 01:36:08 AM
All,
Other than the Hemingway and Orwell figures done by Artizan, are there any other SCW personality figures out there?

I've been looking for miniatures to represent William Aalto, Alex Kunslich, and Irving Goff. Here's the wiki on Aalto:

Here's the wiki regarding Goff:

It's harder to find any information on Alex Kunslich. But the 3 of them worked behind Franco's lines with Republican guerillas, at one point blowing up the bridge to Teruel.

In Steve F's post here on the thread about Indiana Jones figures, he shows the original Pulp Figures PHP 02 pack (Pulp Heros & Personalities). The post is here. Look under Steve F's photobucket image for Pulp Figures:

It shows a dog at the upper left. I think that the shirtless figure at lower left can be used for Irving Goff (he was a premier body builder) and the figure at lower right struck me as being adequate to represent William Aalto. Fortunately for me, I have that old pack. But Bob Murch resculpted it later, and the figure I'm going to use for William Aalto has been replaced by a figure for Jake Cutter (Tales of the Gold Monkey). Not sure quite what I'll do for Alex Kunslich.
