Got some snaps of my new wood elf force the other week. This is intended for my Middle-earth games. It’s mostly composed of the one-piece plastics from GW, which are workmanlike and fit my idea of wood elves pretty well (apart from the curved blades). Nevertheless, I wanted to get this force on the table fast and painted the whole thing in two weeks with some quick and dirty techniques - probably the fastest army I’ve ever done.
I mixed in a number of old GW LOTR metal
models that I found in the loft. The most fun part was probably converting a few plastics to make up the numbers; I discovered that Rohan warriors took some spare heads and weapons from Oathmark elves surprisingly well (there’s also a Wargames Atlantic Irish guy in there for good measure).

Much respect for assembling and finishing an army in such a short timeframe. That would have taken me ages! And they are great looking too!
Wishing you many great games with the pointy ears!
