Painting figures is really enjoyable but I think basing is a chore or a pain.
Re-basing is unspeakable but sometimes has to be done when your collection spans more than 30 years.
I just wrote a blog post about rebasing a Russian army to allow some of my older figures to blend better with the newer ones and match my baseboard
I am so glad that its over, it took weeks >:( - https://valleyboyinnz.wordpress.com/

Nice job.
I feel your 're-basing' pain. I recently started to re-base / reorganise my Crusades stuff for To The Strongest (to fit in the grid) on hand cut 4 mm ply - boy, was 4 mm ply a mistake.

Wow, you have a lot of figures! As for the older ones not looking that good, I find late in the game, the really lousy figures start looking pretty good if they aren't shot up yet.

thanks Guys
James those crusades figures of yours have always been an inspiration, rebasing that lot will be an huge task
Best of luck

I feel your pain, I am going through the same thing, but in 28mm. Thank you for the inspiration and fortitude to get the job done.
