Title: Dux Britannarium : additional rules & detailed provinces !?
Post by: Byblos on September 23, 2020, 05:31:49 PM
Hi

I discover with great pleasure the Dux Britannarium ruler from TooFartLardies (It is original and of high quality)

Do you know if they have proposed some additional rules or detailed the provinces later !?

(I will adapt it for the period of the reign of Alfred the Great vs the Danes)

Hi, there is a 2nd book called "The Raiders". This covers the Picts, Scotti and Irish, so basically extra "factions".

Regards

They had a supplement (think it mainly covered the Scottish border).
They occasionally have articles in their summer & Christmas magazines, but you'd have to check through all the issues to see if there is anything.
They have a user forum and a FB group. You could ask there, or if you email them direct they are generally quite helpful chaps.

Derek Hodge on the TFL forum collated an index of articles- that would be a good starting point. I wish I could help you more but due to my five year wargaming hiatus which has left me a little out of step with what's what in the missing years :)

There is a suplement made by a friend of mine, Dux Normannorum, for games with vikings and franks. Covers the frank and breton reigns. It is available at the Facebook group.

Facebooks no thanks !

I'm currently working on this Vikings & Saxons during the 970's , i will show you the result ...

The campaign system is rather simple & efficient, a lot of very intelligent mechanisms , i think i could even use some of these for my others projets (Nevsky 1240, Portuguese in India 100-1515, Sengoku Jidai, etc ...)

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.
