Hello,
Are there any 28mm Chaco War miniatures out there? Also, is Orinco miniatures still available?

The Orinoco miniatures should still be available:

But that's only two packs each for Bolivia and Paraguay, which I think is only 8 poses. Not really enough to do that war in 28mm, though one could start with very small role playing scale games until more 28mm figures become available. Or one could draft figures from other conflicts in which the uniforms are similar enough.

Is it worth looking at the Empress Miniatures Spanish Civil War range? There might be some useable packs.

The Empress Assaultos packs in the Republican forces could be painted as Bolivians, since the peaked hat is similar. I think the Bolivian uniform was some shade of brown.

Not sure what to use for Paraguayans, since they didn't wear shoes and had that cloth hat with the brim turned back in the front. Possibly Mexican peasants in bare feet or sandals with the broad hat trimmed down a little in size or reshaped might work. Examples from Pulp Figures here:

https://pulpfigures.com/products/view/228 (with improvised weapons)

Then again, I might be barking up the wrong tree here. The Paraguayans did have a uniform. Want to look into this more because this war is interesting history.
