Blimey, never seen those before. :o
I want them, Don't worry I won't bid for them. Wonder who made them, Is it Paul Hicks for Brigade Games?
-
They are very nice. But I've never seen them before either. Never heard of Design 28.
-
I have to join the chorus and say I have never heard of or seen these before either.
Smoking jacket and fez chap is one I have always thought missing from the available ranges too.

I really like these.
The rest of the figures on the Frothers link are very nice too.
But the link is 2004. A bit old.
I would love to see these released they would suit my current project to a "T".

Now now Sterling, didn't Mummy say "I want don't get". Much politer to say "Sterling would like these very much" :D

I even commented on that thread 5 years ago but I didn't recall them ::)
-
Had a look at ebay there are seven sets for sale. All different.
-
So, if I've got this right, he made all these great figures, took them to one show, not much interest, so he gave up :o :-[
They would surely be hugely successful if released today.
-

As per my reading, he seems to be planning more, but the ones pictured in the Frothers thread probably constitute the "available range", pictures of which you requested. I'll be happy to be proven wrong though.
-
I see I have been beaten to it.

Anyone actually managed to buy these yet?
I sent an email a few days ago asking "how to pay..." but no response. If others say "I've bought some..." then I'll assume rogue SPAM filter and try again. :)
-
That was going to be my next email question to him but I have not got around to it yet.
I will let you know if I get a reply.

Have you painted them yet and if not, why? After all, you are the "Speed King" of the mini-painting world lol
look forward to seeing them when you're done ;)

Mine arrived today courtesy of Bago, and he only ordered his on thursday :o ...and splendid chaps they are too. Especially the gent in fez and smoking jacket, (my favourite) and the two vampire hunters armed with wind up stake launchers. :)
-
I recieved my robots today, lovely figures.
They'll be perfect as a repair crew for the GASLIGHT games.
-
These do look very nice indeed. I especially like the vampire hunters.
Not that I'm too fussy but how big are these compared to some of the other ranges we use...Ironclad, Perry etc?

Received my order from Design 28. Very nice and very quick. Great service
Really characterful figures.
A wee bit bulkier than some others but not excessively so.
Very similar heights than other figures I have.
I ordered the Victorian gents and the vampire hunters
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/3/1912_25_08_09_9_37_09_0.JPG)
The whole lot together.
With Artizan, Copplestone, Design 28, Perry, Pulp Figures and Bluemoon.
Looking forward to the future releases what ever they are.
-
thank you for the excellent service
-
They have a look of the Bobby Jackson B`hoys range sold by The Virtual Armchair General whihc is an often overlooked range of figures ideal for VSF etc.
-
Thanks for the comparison pics, Gamer Mac! They seem to fit in perfectly with all my current figures :D
-
I made an order but no reply, how long does it usually take this guy to reply? I mailed him sunday night.
Maybe he don't send outside UK?
-
All the above posts including my own were extremely quick service, its my guess the first you will hear of your order will be it hitting the floor after falling through your letterbox in the next day or so.
