This is an easy step-by-step tutorial on how to make a crashed plane from a cheap model kit.
The final cost is close to 3€... Nice price for a piece of terrain like that...

Yay, that works! Thank you.
Now all I need is a ready supply of those cheap planes.
-
Sorry!! My fault!!
Now the link works...
To find those cheap planes just check aliexpress, "model plane" and cheapest first... There is a huge amount of this kind of planes...
Hope you like the plane...

The impact texturing, dirt etc. is much better than you usually see on crashed planes and the burnout too. Well done!

Great work tereydavi! I have a number of 15mm ish size plastic kits of light planes and airliners in my hobby mountain intended for this very purpose so this is very inspiring.

A crashed airliner would make a wonderful bit of scenery for an AK47 game.

Nicely done.
It's not as easy as you'd think to represent a crashed plane .
It's balancing act between representing an impact and a recognizable plane wreck.
In reality they can be quite underwhelming . In terms of carnage and creators..(as in the picture)
As for a passenger plane . There's definitely a couple of examples floating around on here. There's a scratch build card one.( Not one of mine though I'm sure I made a small Pulp crashed passenger plane .) Also a 1/48. Hercules transport.l q+

Thanks a lot for your support!!
I had never done a crashed plane before, and was quite fun...
Apart from the plane, I keep a lot of pieces to set them scattered around once I display the plane on the table, to give a realistic appearance of a crash site.
I'll be playing in a week or two, I'll take some pictures and show you...
And once again... Thanks a lot!!

Lovely stuff, made me go straight to AliExpress to browse the options! Lovely blog btw!

As Tin Shed stated getting the right look is quite hard as you often end up looking like a giant has dropped a toy rather than a crash. I bought the kits thinking ‘what a great idea, that’ll look brilliant’ then realised that to do it well I’d have to stare at pictures of real crashes and my enthusiasm waned :-I then 2020 rolled up in force and decided to leave it to more positive times!
Stay safe,
