Is anyone aware of an Arthurian adaptation of the lion rampant rules before I reinvent the wheel.
-
Sorry, no.
I would be interested in one though.
-
Yeah, Dux Bellorum. lol
I kid, I kid!
Even though they are written by the same person, they have a different feel and flavor. Dux Bellorum is really designed for 6mm to 15mm multi-based models. Plus, it uses Leadership Points for the main action.
Still, I recommend you check them out before modding Lion Rampant.
Here is my view on them so you can get a feel for them:

Didn't Dan Mersey publish Lion Rampant rule amendments /lists in a previous WI mag for this period?
Were they called Landwasters and Raven Feeders?
P.s.
Just checked, there are army lists and rules for this period over on the Lion Rampant Facebook page.

Thanks, will have a look although I am now mulling over using Mordheim.
Now thinking of a sort of Cthulhu/supernatural element.
-
Well, if you are going to add Mythos I suggest you add on the campaign elements from the game Strange Aeons. They are very well done but are designed for individual models and not units.

Wargames Illustrated 331 contains the dark age rule conversion article
Cheers

I think Osprey’s “Dux Bellorum” is aimed at bigger-size battles than the “Rampant” games.
If you want an alternative “large-skirmish” Dark Age set of rules you could investigate the Two Fat Lardies “Dux Britanniarum”.

This might suit you. It's from Andy Callan, the lad who wrote "Billhooks". It's period specific and free.

Had a look on lion rampant Facebook page but don't see any Arthurian list?
Tried both the Dux's once and didn't gel for some reason.
Mulling over Frostgrave or Mordheim

I've done a Dragon Rampant adaptation - it's on my MacBook somewhere... It's in draft only but DM me if you want a copy...

There’s an abridged version of the Wargames Illustrated article here:
(It reads that Old Sarge was the author of the WI article)

You might also consider A Song of Arthur and Merlin, it also lets you play with the more fantastic elements if you want them with rule variations for different uses. It also lets you bring in other Song of Blades and Heroes things if you have them or want to use them
