Hi,
I recently bought flintloque starter set, and I'm wondering if there is a "official" uniformology for the game ?
thank you !
-
Most sets that I have seen are just painted in fairly standard Napoleonic colours.
Orcs in British uniform, Elves in French, Goblins in Portuguese, Undead mostly in Russian, I think the toads are Kingdom of Naples, Dwarves are Prussian, dogs are Austro-Hungarian.
If the starter set is still Orcs vs Elves, then it would be Orc rifles in green jackets, and the Elves usually in blue coats with red cuffs.
If in doubt, watch "Sharpe" on youtube

Thank you for your answer,
I bought the beginner set, I believe it's the story of russian campaign, undead vs french (elves but not only)

With the figures that I have gotten painted from Alternative Armies I would say
the match the historical uniform of the country they are suppose to represent.
So Orc rifles are green ect.

Although I think it most certainly counts as a fantasy game, on LAF Flintloque has been banished to the twilight zone know as "Other Adventures"
There are many informative posts down there, and some very dedicated fans of the game.

As has been said before just paint them something like the Napoleonic uniforms of the country that they represent.

If you go to Alternative Armies' free downloads page (https://www.alternative-armies.com/pages/free-wargame-downloads-from-alternative-armies (https://www.alternative-armies.com/pages/free-wargame-downloads-from-alternative-armies)), you'll find lots of pdfs that give guidance on "official" uniform colours though they do say that colours are up to you.
