Title: [COMMERCIAL] ODGW rules available in U.K. from eBay
Post by: BeneathALeadMountain on December 08, 2020, 11:11:55 PM
Greetings all fellow LAF’ers,

After my attempt and failure to buy ODGW rule sets in the U.K. (from the only seller) my wife decided to become a seller for them!

So if you’re interested in WW1 Naval warfare and would like a copy of the excellent Fleet Action Imminent or the North Sea Campaign book please follow the links below. If you want to play land based combined warfare then Mein Panzer can do 20th-21st century combat.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174551509091 (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174551509091) The North Sea Campaign

We’ve tried to price the products as reasonably as we can and we should be cheaper than anywhere else you can find in the U.K. We try to hold as much stock as possible but if we’ve sold out and you’d like a copy and don’t mind a short wait we will happily take a small deposit and order you a copy in our next re-stock. Any questions please contact us through eBay and we’ll do everything we can to help. Any other ODGW products you are interested in please get in touch.

Thank you for taking the time to read this,

Greetings fellow LAF’ers,

After trying and subsequently failing to buy ODGW products from the only seller I could find in the U.K., my wife decided to become a stockist for them! So if you’re into Napoleonic Naval warfare and haven’t heard of the excellent Post Captain rules check them out at the link below.

Good luck with the venture.
How extensive is the rulebook coverage of the Russian and Imperial fleets for the Baltic Campaign?

Hi robh,

Thank you for the good wishes, much appreciated. Bad customer service is an amazingly powerful driving force, I was quite surprised, then annoyed and finally determined. The ODGW rule sets are excellent and I like to have a hard copy to hand (you get a free pdf version when you register) but couldn’t face the postage from the USA. They are an excellent company of gamers who love the rules they produce and my wife and I feel they are worth supporting and promoting if we can.

Unsurprisingly you’ve chosen the ruleset I’ve yet to purchase myself or know a great deal about (my wife was good enough to sell the WW2 ones to me at a bit over her listed prices :D so she could pass the savings on to others - at least that was her excuse!). My experience with GQ3 would suggest that the majority of the main combatants (which definitely includes Russia) will be covered comprehensively where known but there is also a $9.95 digital download of the smaller nations that weren’t included. I’ve put your question to ODGW and will get back to you as soon as I’ve had an answer. Apologies for the delay, bear with me and I’ll get you an answer.

Thanks,
BALM

Sorry I should have mentioned that the Post Captain rules work well with any scale including the excellent Black Seas 1/700 ships (a suitable scaled measuring device is downloadable from the ODGW website) and work from individual actions up to fleets. They cover 1793 to 1815 but would be easily adaptable to a favourite period with a little work.

Thanks
