and have notice a couple of other bits need fixing
-
I think it looks awesome! ;D
Well done! :-*
-
Very cool. Is thatcage for prisoners or just cargo or troops?
-
The cage on the front contains the drivers tracking creatures
I don't have a suitable creature, Any ideas welcome
-
Lovely painting there.

If you're not fussed about the tracking creature being Star Wars cannon, maybe the Phelynx from the latest Necromunda Esher set? https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Escher-Death-Maidens-and-Wyld-Runners-2020 (https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Escher-Death-Maidens-and-Wyld-Runners-2020)

Thats a bit nice - Im always up for some sci-fi transport, where did you get it?
(I'm expecting to be disapointed - some sort of limited release, hugely priced, OOP box set no doubt..)
-
It's a 3D print
need to talk to my brother to find out where he got the STL file
-
GW Kroot hound?
What about the star wars Nexu from the gladiatorial arena? Probably too big.
-
I just need a head I can't get anything through the cage door?
Anybody got some thing spare?
Been paint something else SW
A cargo skiff

You do great work mate! Both of those vehicles are brilliant.
-
Lovely work.
I like the first one more.
Is that some sort of electrical connection box ?
Thanks for sharing
Z
-
Not sure what you mean
the first one is a 3D model of the speeder in Solo
The second model is from oshiro models
-
Thanks for the reply.
I thought the models were scratchbuilt. ;)
When I saw the 2 blue painted engine outlets I thought they were some type of electrical connection plugs ( they are visibly very similar to ones used on machines in industry).

They both look great, Sir!

I prefered just painting K 2 black with no high lights as I prefer the look
-
very nice indeed
-
They look great Colin. ;D
-
Nice. :-* :-* :-*
-
Love that security droid. I think the more matte finish works well. Is it a Legion figure?
-
Love ‘em 8)

Cheers guys

I didn't like the engines on the original model so I have built a new one
Been waiting on some LED lights I ordered, so I could do this

Just waiting on my brother to deliver some plastic for the wings
Just need to hide the battery pack
-
Brill 8)
There should be plenty of room underneath for the batteries to hide.
-
Just need to place it so I can get access to replace the batteries and switch it on and off
Been fixing up some other bits of the toy

Very cool 8)
-
An awesome build!! 8)
I've been on the lookout for a cheap Kenner toy one to convert, but these days, they're rather dear I found.
So scratchbuilding one is a great solution indeed.
Can't wait to see this beast painted! :)
-
Can't wait to see it painted either
For just now an Atmospheric shot

-
Dam! Thats cool Colin! :-* :-* :-*
Can I suggest you maybe put some tin foil on the inside of your engine? That'll cut out the light bleed through the plastic card. Even painted, it'll still show through.
-
That's looking good,great build Colin :-*
-
That is very, very cool!
-
Light it up! 8)
-
Brilliant Colin. Love the way it's built out of burglar alarm signage :)
(A quantum leap forward from the cereal packet landing craft build lol)
-
Fabulous! Has Andy shared the pics of the conversion he did for me?
-
thanks guys

The plastic is great for this kind of build, easy to cut and good for scribing out panels and cheap when you get from your brother :D
Fabulous! Has Andy shared the pics of the conversion he did for me?
I am not sure but I think he did but it was ages ago
I have some pics if you are interested
-
A very nice lambda shuttle. :-* :-* :-*

...So scratchbuilding one is a great solution indeed...
Well bother; only when looking at the thread on my PC did I realize that you did use a toy as a basis, although it's not perfectly clear to me which one.
Apologies; suits me right for browsing the forum on my phone and then not bothering looking over a complete thread... ::)

I can attest to that.
An even better solution is aluminum tape, used to seal off air ducts (as opposed to duct tape; go figure lol ). It's actual metal, so absolutely lightproof, and it being tape, you won't have to bother with glue to put it in, the foil wrinkling or tearing, etc. :)

No, it’s grand, I have a set here, I’ll post them on a separate thread as not sure if I have ever shared them.
-
Very nice work. Finally seen it on a larger screen so I get the comment about the alarm stuff now...

I thought I had, but turns out.. not! Apologies - it's thing of beauty :) The wings fold for landing too.

-
Very nice work.
-
Great work Colin 8) And nice painting Andy on yours :)
-
Lol, I really thought this was going to be about dancing the lambada.
Dan
-
Stunning work, mate.
Love the use of that signage* for the wings, just the right thickness for strength and ease of cutting.
Loving the lights too.
The whole thing looks spot on.
:-* :-*
Andy's version is OK too, I suppose......
;)
I have some of that stuff that I use for buildings, the irony being that mine are from a council planning department for proposed real buildings being used to make toy versions.
;)
-
Sorry Paul
But I can't say the same as far as I know the signs were not on a real starship just being used for models
