Apologies if this is not allowed, but I just saw this on FB and thought I would share it here in case there's any interest. I've never backed a Kickstarter before, but I'm seriously considering this one. Looks like they're making hard plastic Scythians (!!!) along with Amazons, fauns, and some other stuff depending on funding.

I've been hoping for plastic Scythians for a while now, and some non-cartoony Amazons would be awesome as well...

Satyrs look okay but the proportions and detail of the Scythians and Amazons look pretty ropey.

Just a note to remind people that they should remove the fbclid parameter from their URLs. It is a parameter that Facebook started adding to work around Apple's improved privacy moves. It will track every 8nteraction that anyone has with the URL whether they have a Facebook account or not

Thanks for the heads up!

Hmm... I suppose to each their own, but even if they have a few stinkers, I don't think they're much "ropier" than some Scythians I have right now that almost look like they come from a planet with 10x the Earth's gravity lol

Heh, yes, I sometimes feel sorry for the poor ponies! :)
The Warlord Saka are nice models (if quite diminutive)

Maybe I am being naïve thinking that some of the money spent on a big investment like a plastic figure mould should go on really good sculpts too...

I've actually never been able to get my hands on those; they've been listed as out of stock in Warlord's webstore for like a year :'(

It states the figures will be “32mm”, not 28mm.
That and the fact kickstarter is promoting political ideologies will make me stay away.

I missed that; which political ideologies?
-
More scale creep. Like Reaper claiming it sells 25mm heroic figures. Got one recently that was 35mm and the size of a small horse. Very nice figure though.
-
It was be good if the Amazons were in the Scythian style i.e. more seated in reality.

I believe this is a reference to the #Blacklives matter, banner below the kickstarter header.
oh please don't shoot the messenger

You would be fairly safe backing this one, they have already delivered on the first KS. I have a box of Satyrs, they're pretty good overall.
This company's figures do seem have thin proportions, must be the style of their sculptor.
-
I think the fantasy monsters would be fine as 32mm figures, but historicals at that size...
Well, the cavalry might match Victrix figures. Horses might be very tall, though.
Wargames Factory made plastic Amazons years ago. Not sure if they can be found now. But 32mm the size of Ultramarines might not look right with others ...
-
I was excited to see this Kickstarter, but a little unfortunate that it went the fantasy route - as I'd rather have something more historically accurate with the Scythians. Also not the biggest fan of the model proportions and style. The Satyrs end up being the best part of the Kickstarter.
I think some of the human footmen maybe would be alright to field but I still picture those nomads on horses!
-
Love the look of the fantasy elements, shame they are not in 15mm
-
The Satyrs are ok, but the Scythians are very strange. Not my cup of tea.
-
The Scythians and Amazons look cool and quite versatile for kitbashing. I'll be getting these. I think any "weirdness" may be related to the painting style ( which I don't mind).

Is there a link to the pictures.
I can’t find them as the Kickstarter has finished.
