Xmas and the New Year is always 28mm WW1 Mesopotamia time, apart obviously this year ! So with the table redundant its a good excuse to do a TOP feature on the Collection.
In its usual multi media wide-screen format there is a Yarkshire TV Utubes special and a still photo bonanza on the blog post.
I'm still slowly adding to this lot as and when new shiny thats relevant gets released. Big games in big scales are still going on, usually in a dark corner away from prying eyes and when all the 1 hour, 20 figures a side on a 2ft square table have got bored we are still here spending days playing huge games and having a really good time doing it ! Lol
I'll do a similar feature on the Turkish troops for the same period later in the year, whether you want it or not, I've got a couple of units on the go for them.
Thanks again for watching / looking and remember Go Big or Go Home.

Very impressive indeed!
Hordes of Imperial goodness! While I’m very much a proponent of big battles with small figures, I am seriously impressed with your output and results!
What is the khaki field gun with the wide shield, on the left hand of the gun line?

Awesome bro

I am not a big fan of your base modeling imho.
All else is very impressive.

With 28,018 figures and a room full of terrain all based the same way are you suggesting I rebase !
It might be old school but it works for me.

Thanks very much mate :)
I just don't get the motivation to look at a photo of the neck end of 1000 28mm figures, which aren't badly painted and the first thing you say is I don't like your basing lol I thought was on TMP for a minute

Do you post pics for applause only?
You do not have to rebase.
I never said that.
Cheers

I've posted my pics on a public forum, if you want to criticise then fine, thats your right.
What I am having a go at it your motivation, you look at 1000, in my biased opinion, well painted figures and the first thing you type is, I don't like your basing. If I see something someone has been working on for over 10 years the last thing I'm going to do is slag them off. I always try and encourage people in the hobby and often go out of my way to help those new to it
If your going to criticise at least take time to explain what in your expert opinion what the problem is. My basing style is very old school but then so am I. As I tried to explain my whole collection including my terrain is in the same style, I'm not going to change that now.
Do you post just to wind people up ? Thats trolling, I can get that on TMP

Hi Fred,
The gun is an Indian Mountain Gun from Empress Miniatures and their Jazz Imperium Range. Its a great model and figures, however the gun has an unbelievable amount of pieces, it took an age to work out how to put it together and I still had a load of pieces left !

I am sorry for my clumsy post about your bases. Actually I am a big fan of your blog and visit it from time to time for inspiration.
No Ken, I am not a troll and I am not posting here to wind people up. Indeed Iam a member since 2006. I was member no. 3 and I was probably a founding member, who at the beginning of this forum posted more frequently. Now I am not that busy anymore but I am still a moderator.
Sometimes, I may use the wrong words. Forgive me, I am not a native speaker.
So I reach out my hand and perhaps you shake it, so maybe we can settle our argument here.
Thank you
Bjoern

Thanks Bjoern,
I think that draws a line under it.
The Internet can be a very bad place and I encourage everyone who posts here and in other wargaming related places to be positive and supportive of other peoples hobby.
