Title: WW2 Style Supply Piles NOT 3D Printed
Post by: Bravo Six on January 22, 2021, 01:57:09 PM
I came across these two piles of WW2 supplies on eBay and though I like the style and composition of them and the fact they can be used across multiple periods, I don't like the fact they're 3D printed. On these especially, you can see all the "roping" of the print. So I wondered..... does anyone make anything similar in resin? Any suggestions?

I have those for my Fantasy Japan project and they have a VERY Asian feel to them. But yes.... along those lines.

Oshiro do some lovely 'domestic goods' stuff and Ainsty have some general trade goods stuff that might be useful. Anyscale Models have some WWII stuff too.

Thanks for the links Steve. Some useful stuff there. I just got myself some of the classic, need to have, Scotia Grendel crate piles recently, so I'm off to a good start.

Just saw these on Etsy, from our very own LAFer "Tabletop Furniture". Pretty amazing stuff.

etc, etc.

Baueda do massive stacks of jerry cans http://www.baueda.com/28cama1.html#28014CB

plus a range of older items, barrels, crates etc.

If you fancy doing your own, then the Tamiya fuel can set has enough drums and Germans to keep you going for a long time.

i have both this set from Warlord Games:

And this set from Microart Studio:
Both are resin and very nicely done although the Microart warehouse goods are probably a little earlier than ideal but they have a few different sets of goods including a very nice fuel depot:

Rubicon makes a few different stowage sets but they are in plastic, as well as a market produce set:

Thanks Cod. Those are all pretty nice as well.

Turns out those piles in the original post came from the Little Dragon Miniatures Kickstarter:

They look very nice; it's the kind of thing I would be tempted to back if I had a resin printer.
