Cracking game of Muskets & Tomahawks 2 over Zoom a few nights ago. Lt Wensleydale got waylaid on his way to his new command under Colonel Stilton. Attempting to march straight past a bunch of bloodthirsty Hurons ended badly (aided by some shocking British dice rolling) and the intrepid Wensleydale found himself clubbed over the head and dragged off to the Huron village!
Worse, he failed his Intrigue, as his new uniform (a parting gift from his mother back in Surrey) was ruined as a tomahawk hit the trooper in front of him. It’s a rough life in the Thirteen Colonies.
Next game is highly likely to be the rescue attempt to save Wensleydale from a fate worse than Brie.

Who's the next up the chain of command, Major General Wallace?
Your games always look fantastic.

I'll bet they were all a bit cheesed off after that!
Lovely looking game.

Col Stilton has overall command! Cheers.

Great looking table and minis, I imagine it was great fun... at least for the Hurons anyway!

Interesting game all round, getting to grips with the rules and working out how to improve it over Zoom. The redcoats were a bit shocked by the Huron dice rolling!

Great table! The very essence of FIW. I gotta ask- did you play M&T1? If so, how do you like M&T2?
I played the original more times than I can remember. I've played 2nd edition only once, due to the pandemic.
I have some doubts about the new mechanic of getting your opponents cards and command points. It works, but it just seems too gamey and adds too much "fog" to the game. It already had (IMHO) enough fog since no one knew which card would turn up. I will, however, play it a bunch more times before I form a final opinion.

Hi! Thank you. I’m glad it looks the part. I’m aware that I have nowhere near enough trees yet, but it’s probably better for Zoom (being able to see the figures in the woods!)
I owned M&T 1 but I never played it, so I can’t really comment. It’s tricky doing the cards over Zoom. In the first game, we just did a random draw; in the second game, we tried the hand of three cards. I drew the cards and then sent a pic on my phone to the relevant players. It took a few mins but worked. Next time, I’m going to enlist a friend to do the card draws and send the pics, which will speed me up with running the game. It’s a bit fiddly but hopefully it will work - we’re all desperately missing actual face to face gaming, but this seems the best solution.
