For the last few weeks, my 12-year-old has been painting up his Blood Bowl team. He got the last one finished tonight. They're all his own work, and they're all in different colours, which suits them quite well, I think. Here are a few shots; I'll put some more of the bigger ones up when there's better light.

Very nice.
Love the colors.
It's a team he can certainly be proud of.
-
Very nice. Well done.
-
Love the vivid colors, lizardmen has to look like that!
-
I wish I could do that good a paint job on them now, but at 12. Well done to him. You should be proud to :D
-
Neat brushwork and striking colour choices - great work and an excellent foundation for even more impressive work in the future!

Those are some very nicely painted miniatures, your son's definitely got a talent for painting!
-
Wow :o Those are excellent. Better than most adults manage, so marvellous for a twelve year old. (And so much better than dad's! lol)
He (and you, I'm sure) can be proud of that quality of painting.
-
Very nicely done, both the parenting and painting :)
Also, Son of Hobgoblin sounds like a series of superhero b-movies: "Son of Hobgoblin 2: Return of the Lizardmen!" ;D
-
Well done son of Hobgoblin!
-
Those are beautiful :o
Amazing work on each one looking so unique and vibrantly colorful!
-
They look fantastic :).
-
Gorgeous work! I love the colors, and the leaves especially look amazing. I have been trying to get transitions like that on leaves and falling short.
-
Thanks very much, everyone - he was delighted with the feedback!
Here's his latest. In our D&D campaign, we've been playing the excellent Lair of the Lamb (http://goblinpunch.blogspot.com/2020/04/lair-of-lamb-final.html) adventure from the Goblin Punch blog - adjusted for higher-level characters. The PCs' first encounter with the titular Lamb (in our game, the Lamb of Arioch) was in 'theatre of the mind', but my son first drew the creature and then decided to make it and paint it.
So in yesterday's session, we switched to miniatures, and the PCs came face to face with this horror. They fled - but it's bound to catch up with them soon ...
-
Dang, that's a scary thing to encounter!
From the (Excellent!) drawing, I thought it'd be about man height, but this is a true horror indeed!
How did the sculpting process go? Standard wire frame and then putty? It's quite a wonderful translation of the vision, through the drawing to the miniature...
Nice brushwork too, I must add :)

Thanks! He did it with scrunched-up tinfoil and Fimo, making the limbs and head separately. Then he just pinned them with wire and hot-glued them in place.

Great sculpting, I like it very much!
-
Excellent interpretation and sculpting. A truly horrifying being brought to life magnificently!
-
I think they look great, and your lad's certainly got talent. :)
The drawing in particular though is really excellent; very sinister!
-
Thanks, all!
Here's the latest from the 12-year-old:
-
I've been painting models for over 30years...your son is already better than me. :/
Congrats, looks great!
-
Blimey!
The lad's got talent, all right!
:-* :-*
Not a bit jealous at all, honestly......
>:D
-
That is amazing :o
-
Very nicely done. Certainly didn't paint that well when I was in grade school - or is 12 middle school? We had one of those weird districts with no middle school, 7-12 was jammed into one building for me. Innocent times back then...
-
Beautiful work! A very talented painter.
-
Beautiful color transitions!
-
He sure is on the good way.
-
Very nice job.
-
He's certainly talented. Very nice. Now I'm going to pack away my paints... forever. lol
-
Thanks, all!
Here's his latest creation - made from tin foil and Fimo and based on a 50mm square for Alien Squad Leader. He's also going to sabot it on a 60mm base for HotT. You'll probably recognise the inspiration ...
He still has to finish the base.
-
Wow! That is an amazing sculpt
-
Your son is a fantastic painter and impressive sculptor. I absolutely love the quality of the monster sketch back on page 1.
It's all been said already, but deserves repeating; that kid has serious talent.
(I've also long been inspired by his dad's legendary thread 8))
-
Thanks, both!
Here's a great big god he's made for Hordes of the Things - Khonshu from the Disney Moon Knight series. He made it out of Fimo and tinfoil, and he's put up a video about it here:

As you can see from the first photo, it's quite a sizeable beast!
-
That's awesome! :-*
Just watched the season finale yesterday evening. Now he needs an Ammit to fight though. (and maybe a pyramid to crash into ;) )
-
Thanks!

I have passed on both suggestions!

I haven't watched Moon Knight (yet) but this Khonsu is looking awesome! Congrats to your son!
