A little experiment to see if the Perry Afghans in summer clothing could be depicted in a more winter type attire. The first three done.
Green stuff rolls added at cuff and neck to simulate the mini as wearing a sheepskin coat.
I know Studio Miniatures provide sculpted minis like this but I like the Perry's sculpts and wanted to give it a go :)
Thanks for looking in :)

oooooh get you with your fancy Greenstuff conversions!
They have come out really well, if you'd just showed the painted figures I would never of known. Cracking stuff! ;D :-*

Some of the figures have so gigantic hands that you can use them as mutants in Warhammer 40K. Do Foundry still have the Perry Afghans, maybe this fit well.

A bit harsh Dirk lol
They do Dirk :) I'm sure they'd fit in nicely with these :)
Hope you are all keeping well?
Cheers :)

Sometimes the truth is harsh. The rest of studio miniatures are brilliant (zombie-stuff), so this figures were double disappointment to me.

I'm dead jealous. Back in the late 80s some of my friends and I held a jumble sale to raise money for the printing of a friend's punk-rock anti-Thatcher (!) fanzine. At the end of it all there was a lovely unsold poshteen for someone to claim. My mate Moley bagsied it. I wanted it so much. I even said to him, "you'll never wear it, I know you. Let me have it." The bastard refused. I would have worn it all the time. I was right, he never did. Not once.
Well, that's my poshteen story. I love the things, but there are still lingering resentments there, under the surface. So I'm not sure how I feel to see these ones. :)
Sorry, got distracted. Good job, Romark.

@Romark, so simple yet extremely effective! Beautiful work. I may just have to copy this now that I’m comfortable with green stuff.

Great conversion and paint job there Keith

Very nice indeed, Romark! About a decade ago I did some similar greenstuff fur trim add-ons to help convert a few Crimean War British generals into 1878-80 Afghan regular army high command. Relatively simple but very effective! As others have said already, if you'd posted the finished pics without mentioning the conversions, I doubt any of us would have been the wiser.
