Title: Figure storage
Post by: tomrommel1 on March 01, 2021, 01:49:48 PM
I thought it might be interesting for you to know how I store my miniatures. As I don’t have that much storage space I needed a stackable solution. As I travel a lot I had to have storage wich is small enough to fit in a backpack or suitcase and the figures should be safe during travel. The solution I came up with is metal foil and rare earth magnets.

I just implemented the opposite: 1 mill magnetic sheet onto which I place my steel washer based miniatures. Works a treat as I've been basing them like that since forever.

To prove it's worth I have knocked the box with all my Game of Thrones miniatures on it's side. Some of them all metal knights are quite heavy but stay put.

works either way round. I did it with rare earth magnets in the figure base as I have a metal turntable for my airbrush , so base coating is really quick.
