Hi All
Can anyone help with the current organisation of the 2REP rifle Platoon : is it the same as an infantry platoon ?
Platoon HQ - Platoon leader/Platoon Sergeant/RTO and medic
3 Squads ea - squad leader /Team 300 3 rifleman / Team 600 leader LGI Mortar and machine gunner
Weapon Squad - leader/ w Eryx missile teams (2)
This gives a Platoon strength of 30 plus 8 vehicle crew
I was wondering if the vehicle crews would be rifleman in the Paratrooper Platoon and would the Eryx missile teams still be utilised ?

As far as I know, the organization of the 2e REP is :
- command and logistic company
- 5 combat company (1 commanding section, 3 sections of "voltigeurs" and a support section)
- 1 support company with 1 antitank missiles section (formerly using Milan/Eryx, but they received the new MMP since 2019), 1 sniper/heavy sniper section (can be dispatched in other companies), 1 section of machineguns and the GCP (groupe commando parachutiste, special forces of the regiment).
Each combat company is specialized in a type of warfare.
As far as I know, each company is based on the standard french army organisation :
section leader, radio, NCO, paramedic
3 sections of 7 soldiers :
team 300 => team leader, 2 "voltigeurs" with AT4 rocket launcher, 1 voltigeur (if equiped with HK416, you can add a M230 grenade launcher).
team 600 => team leader, voltigeur with minimi, voltigeur with gun and LGI ("lance-grenade d'infanterie", infantry grenade launcher).
machine gun team :
A soldier with M240 on tripod
2 servants with assault rifle.
sniper team :
2 soldiers, sniper and spotter
As said, you can add some other things from support company, such as GCP (used as commando, JTAC,...), heavy sniping team with Hecate 2 (.50 sniper rifle,...),...
And for me, Eryx/Milan/MMP teams are drawn from the support company, not part of the combat company.
The regiments still has the venerable VAB, soon to be replaced by the new Nexter Serval :

For gaming purpose, you can consider the vehicle crews are not considered in the 7 members of a section.
The 2e REP as also many different vehicles (VAC, VAL, Masstech T4, VAB, VBL, P4 jeep,...).
No heavies, as the regiment is a fast response force.
Really, it's not an ideal subject, as the french army is actually in a heavy transition, and there is really few choice for french troops and vehicles.
So you'd better choose an operation theater and try to find some pics. Or if hypothetical war, choose a year and see what's fielded by french army.

The 2eme REP has no helicopter.
When the need to be heliported, the helicopters are part of other regiments (for example the 1st combat helicopter regiment).
So I think that when you have no vehicles were deployed, the drivers are not deployed, as combat team are fixed in size and equipment.
For gaming purpose, don't count them in infantry minis (except if the vehicle is destroyed and the bail out).
What set of rules will you use ?

I'm new to modern mainly Napoleonic and WW2 previously I was going to try the Empress Games Danger Close
We are planning a series of games based on the recent Fox War of the Worlds and then move onto some modern conflicts perhaps either British and French vs Russian or Insurgents

Looks good. To try and pick a hole the berets look big - they tend to wear them small. But that's damn difficult to replicate and they look nice on the table.
