Title: Greetings from the Netherlands
Post by: Sgt_T on March 21, 2021, 11:42:32 AM
Hi,

Finally decided to register after long time mining this forum for inspiration and information.

I live in the Netherlands, am in my fifties and started with 40K and WHFB way back when. Since then I went randomly from other scifi, to pulp, to WW2, to pirates, to moderns, to ACW.
I like building terrain, but have to take limited storage space into account. So everything as modular as possible and unfortunately no large MDF buildings.

Welcome to LAF - I hope you both find plenty of inspiration in the forum, and look forward to seeing your own projects.

Good morning compatriot. Welcome.

You seem to have drifted into the same wargaming realms as I have. Where are you based?

Hi, I'm based in Zoetermeer.
I clicked around in your blog and noticed the same thing. Although we seem to go for different scales.
Your Vietnam stuff is 28mm, mine 20mm.
Your scifi/near future is 20mm, mine 28mm
I forgot to mention Samurai in my list. I bet you own a 28mm or 10mm army. Mine is 20mm  :)

Nice projects on your blog by the way.
Did you by any chance play the Osprey Black Ops  participation game at Crisis a few years ago?
I may have been one of your opponents.

Yes I did! In on of Guy's games. Imagine that! You are right about the samurai (28mm) but I do play SciFi in 28mm as well :)

I am from IJsselstein, near Utrecht. Are you a member of Murphy's Heroes by any chance?

Yes I am. However, due to domestic obligations I have not been able to attend very often, even before it all got suspended due to Covid.

PS: I discovered I do have a small pile of unpainted 28mm Samurai :)

Well, some games of Ronin or Rogue Stars should eventually be possible then :)
